i tried cooking japanese dinner last weekend.. went to ntuc, get all the ingredients and made japanese curry, fried fish fillets, and both crabmeat + prawn tempuras.. no pictures due to unsightly tempuras.. hahhahahaa! darling took second servings and i tot i might have fared well for my first "kitchen burning" attempt.. haha! anw, my family kinda vacummed all the tempuras and fish fillets..
next up, i tried fried rice cooking with the help of my "kitchen godess" (maid) ofcoz.. and it turned out pretty ok i guess.. considering the little that was left for darling's dinner. hahaa! and the cravings for jap food came again, so we contributed some dollars to suki sushi by trying the bbq grill.. it was pretty nice despite it's discounted price. haha!
anw, enuff of the food, i'm counting down to my BBK TRIP!!!!!! (:

snapped!
it's really shocking and sad to hear the news on the death of a NTU student. Apparently, he had stabbed a NTU Prof before he committed suicide.. considering the fact that he had invested a substiantial amount of money into 4 years of education and all the hard work he had contributed for his results.. and with the finishing line right infront of him, he snapped. tragic.
i once heard a couple quarrelling in SIM and the girl said: you wouldnt know how much money i've begged my parents for this education. you wouldnt know how lonely is it for me to come here for education. you wouldnt know this and that..
as far as i could remember, these were the two key points i heard as i walked passed them.. i guessed this NTU student had been facing the same emotional problem and wasnt able to express his emotions like others could. whenever i went batam to work, i faced similar loneliness.. despite the fact that i will be having my breakfast and dinner with dad, i was left alone with the staffs for the rest of the days, weeks, months.. i had always expressed my lonliness to my friends and were brushed off with a laugh.. i guess, this NTU student didnt have "funny" friends like i do..
or rather, singaporeans are toooo easy-go-lucky, no pressure on education funds, no pressure on outstanding results, clubbing everyday.. unlike those foreign students who had to fend for themselves here alone.. im truly thankful for my "Satisfaction" level towards everything and with lovely sister, darling bf, and friends.. if not i guessed i would have snapped long ago..
